Wilderness & Remote First Aid

CPR/AED and Wilderness & Remote First Aid Certification

CPR/AED Certification  |  WRFA Scenario Sessions:

We lost our classroom space at the Pleasant Hill Scout Service Center for the October 9 & 10 training sessions; the class has had to be cancelled.
We are currently planning a full schedule of classes starting in March of 2022 at a location yet to be determined.

This hybrid course will provide crews attending the BSA National High Adventure Bases with the necessary certification for both CPR/AED and Wilderness & Remote First Aid.

  • Students will need to successfully complete an assigned, online version of “Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED and Blood Pathogens” before they arrive Saturday morning.
  • Saturday morning is a CPR/AED skills assessment after a brief review.
  • Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday will focus on BRIEF explanations of Wilderness differences from general First Aid, and then it is Scenarios, Scenarios, Scenarios…

Per Golden Gate Area Council COVID-19 Policy, all participants must show proof of either a valid vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the event when they sign in on Friday evening.  We will be in close proximity to one and other so face coverings will be required at all times.

The cost of the combined CPR/AED and WRFA certification is $145 and is only open to registered members of the Boy Scouts of America.  Both sessions will be held at the GGAC Service Center at 800 Ellinwood Way, Pleasant Hill CA
