This hybrid course will provide crews attending the BSA National High Adventure Bases with the necessary certification for both CPR/AED and Wilderness & Remote First Aid.

  • Students will need to successfully complete an assigned, online version of “Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED and Blood Pathogens” before they arrive Friday night.
  • Friday night is a CPR/AED is a skills assessment after a brief review.
  • Saturday will focus on BRIEF explanations of Wilderness differences from general First Aid, and then it is Scenarios, Scenarios, Scenarios…

Per Golden Gate Area Council COVID-19 Policy, all participants must show proof of either a valid vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the event when they sign in on Friday evening.  We will be in close proximity to one and other, so face coverings will be required at all times.

To accommodate as many crews as possible, we ask that only one adult from each crew register for the course initially.  One week prior to the training, we will allow multiples from the same crew to register. This will allow us to meet the pent up demand for certification.

The cost of the combined CPR/AED and WRFA certification is $145 and is only open to registered members of the Boy Scouts of America.  Both sessions will be held at the GGAC Service Center at 800 Ellinwood Way, Pleasant Hill CA
