Class times are approximately 8:00am – 5:00pm on both days. Check on actual start times at registration. 
There are mandatory online prep course(s) that must be completed before the Saturday start time to participate in the class.

This course is reserved for Adult/Active Scout Leaders who have priority over youth attendees. If there is space we accept youth 14-years and older if a Life Scout. We reserve the right to bump youth in order to provide spots for required adults. Please contact the Course Director to ask permission for youth.

 

This course is an Advanced First Aid course and requires attendees to have already taken Basic First Aid classes prior to applying. First Aid Merit badge pamphlet study, and review is the bare minimum. W&RFA is a hands-on course that provides you knowledge and practice in providing Advanced First Aid assessment, treatment and monitoring of an injured person in remote locations. This is a 16-20 hour class, and requires self-study, an online course and an in-person two-day course. A American Red Cross certificate of completion is provided upon completion and must be presented during check-in at Scout Ranches (Philmont, Northern Tier, Sea Base, Bechtel) and many High Adventure Courses across the country. Adult and Youth CPR is included, with an online portion completed the week before and the hands-on portion completed on Saturday. Attendance at all sessions is required with no exceptions.
